My latest colour-season question is about Deep Summer versus Soft Winter at home. Swatches on a screen feel less useful once daylight changes. For consistency, I used the same window light on two separate days. The comparison felt fairer after I removed obvious colour distractions. Deep shades gave contrast, although a few made my under-eye shadows more noticeable. Muted cool shades appeared balanced, but I want more than a personal hunch. I tried to describe observable effects instead of deciding from a favourite colour. An organised color analysis would be useful as a second checklist alongside the fabric photographs. I do not expect a quiz to replace a trained consultation or good lighting. How have you checked whether depth or softness is doing more of the work? Experiences with ordinary indoor daylight would help me most. For now, I would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. I hope that a slower record will make my final comparison less influenced by mood. Thanks in advance for examples of what you found genuinely repeatable. |
